OOTD: Embrace the Leopard Print!

I'll be the first to admit that one year ago I wouldn't have even imagined that I could pull off leopard print. One year later, I'm rocking this silk blouse by Jeremy Spencer!!
These photos are actually from a few months ago when I was in Paris, France. I went on a business trip to Vaasa, Finland (beautiful place, btw) and stopped by Paris the weekend before with a co-worker.
It was my first time in Europe and I was lucky enough to spend a few days in the famed City of Lights. Anyways, here's an actual photo of the outfit in its entirety.
Top: Spencer Jeremy silk leopard blouse
Bottom: Grane black straight leg pants
Belt: Tommy Hilfiger leather belt
Shoes: Nicole riding boots (sorry, I don't know the exact style)
I believe I got my black pants, belt, and riding boots from Ross all on separate shopping excavations. The leopard blouse was a a gift from my sister's boyfriend's mom. For some unknown reason, my sisters didn't seem to want it but I decided to take a risk and claimed it as my own. I had no idea how to style it at first! However, I LOVE this blouse now! It's 100% silk (according to the label) so it wrinkles like crazy when I wash it but the softness of the fabric is worth it! Coincidentally, I also happen to be wearing this exact blouse in my profile picture on the right~ I only had the front of the shirt tucked in so give the allusion of a hi-lo asymmetrical blouse.

Unfortunately, I forgot to pack my Levi skinny jeans so I made due with what I had in my luggage for this look. Usually, I like the semi-baggy look of these pants paired with my Converses and a tee. The boots made my pants look baggier than they really are (reference: first photo) if I move around a lot. I only packed one other pair of shoes on this trip but there was no way I was going to walk around Paris all day in the heeled oxfords I brought for the days I had to go to work. Plus, we climbed the highest hill in Paris, Montmartre, that day to get to the Basilica of the Sacre Coeur. Oh well, I still love the outfit for the most part and I was incredibly comfy for the entire day of sight seeing!

I'll probably be posting a few more outfits from that trip after I dig up more photos from Paris. I'll at least have to share the photo I took with the Eiffel Tower! Until then, Au Revoir, dear readers!
