Good afternoon! As promised, I am continuing to blog about my trip to Paris last winter.
During the weeks before I left the US for Paris, my excitement for the trip resulted in super early outfit planning/packing/worrying. Since I was going to Finland for work after Paris, I had to make sure that I pack appropriate business attire and everything I'd need for work. Unfortunately that meant I had a lot of extra paperwork, etc to bring with me which left little room for personal items. Plus the planes from Paris to Vaasa, Finland were much smaller than the domestic planes back in the US so the size of my carry ons were also restricted.
I purchased this fleece dress from Yesstyle.com about two years ago when I had a crazy obsession with buying authentic Korean and Taiwanese branded clothing. Thankfully I've discovered thrifting and DIY options to get the styles I like which is a much cheaper option. Anyways, this dress, despite having short sleeves, is incredibly warm! It's a very simple dress as you can see with just two pockets in the front (dresses with pockets get an extra +1 in my book!). There aren't any darts on the dress to accentuate my waist or make me look thinner. In all honesty, I have a feeling I could make this dress myself because it's so simplistic. Since this dress is no longer available for purchase, maybe one day I'll try make my baby sister one as a test.
Because I wasn't too crazy about wearing a dress in the wintertime with bare legs, I opted to pair the fleece dress with a pair of black leggings and a pair of black leather boots. I also relied on my wool coat to keep my arms warm. Minimal accessories were worn. Actually, I only wore my silver Obaku Harmony watch paired with a pink beaded bracelet. Later that day, I purchased a silver Parisian coin bracelet from a small shop and wore that for the rest of the day. Of course, no trip to Paris is complete without the obligatory photo op with the Eiffel Tower so here's mines!
