Summertime Tips

A little while ago, I noticed that my last manicure (forgot to do a post on it. but all I wore was China Glaze's Smoke and Ashes with Essie's Matte About You matte finisher) was starting to chip. It was a definite sign that it was time for me to change out my polish!
I've really wanted to test out nude nails for a while now but wasn't sure exactly what "shade/tint" of nude would work best with my skin tone. I picked up Essie' Brooch the Subject the other day and decided to try it.

While roaming Pinterest, I saw a collage with a photo of someone's nails, all with different colored tips. I thought it was a cute idea and wanted to see if I could make that design my own. The polishes I used for the tips can be seen in the photos below. I used a Sinful Colors polish, a Wet n' Wild polish, two China Glaze polishes, and a Revlon polish.

I opted for polishes with cream finishes to keep the look simple. The brightness of the colorful tips against the nude polish really makes the colors standout. This is a subtle way for me to incorporate my bright colorful nail polishes into a look that is somewhat work/office appropriate.
By no means is this my best work.
Should've cleaned up around my nails before taking the photo but I got too excited!
My little brother, Kenny, was quite proud of this shot that he took for me!
And just a random photo of my yoohoo... in a juicebox container! I discovered recently that we had a whole case of this stuff in the pantry. Completely a guilty pleasure of mines!! =D I absolutely LOVE drinks that come in juicebox containers!
